※About rarity

Summaron 35mm f/3.5, early version. Leica screw mount. Serial number in the 840,000 range. Manufactured in 1951. Product code: SOONC.
A double Gauss type lens with a 4-group, 6-element construction. Distance scale marked in feet. Compatible with A36 slip-on filters.
Introduced in 1946 as the successor to the Elmar 35mm f/3.5. Compared to the Elmar, it is slightly taller and heavier, yet still compact and highly portable. Its classic old-lens design is also part of its charm.

With high central resolution and a natural vignette near maximum aperture, it creates a dramatic atmosphere. Delivering excellent image quality while being produced in relatively large numbers, this is a highly appreciated and reasonably priced classic Leica wide-angle lens.
Compatible lens hood: FOOKH.

The exterior is in near-mint condition, with almost no signs of use.

Fully overhauled, including focus adjustment, in February 2025. The aperture and helicoid operate exceptionally smoothly, and the rangefinder coupling is perfectly aligned.

Under strong LED light, very slight coating deterioration is visible on the inner elements, along with a few extremely faint cleaning marks. However, these are unlikely to affect image quality. For a prone-to-fogging Summaron, the glass condition is exceptionally good. The results from test shots were also excellent.
Comes with original front and rear caps.
