Our store's original Hektor 5cm f2.5 dedicated hood, FB-10. The retaining screw is made of raw brass, allowing you to enjoy the aging process over time. This hood is specially designed for Hektor lens, featuring aperture control functionality.
Based on the basic design of the FB-07 Elmar hood, it has been re-engineered specifically for Hektor. Until now, the only options for a dedicated hood for the Hektor were the FIKUS zoom hood or using the Elmar hood as a substitute. Many of our customers who use the Hektor 50mm lens encouraged us to create a dedicated hood, so we decided to produce this specialized design.
The initial release in 2021 sold out on the same day, and this is now the third batch.
The design and development were done by the well-known company specializing in release mechanisms. The body was lathe-processed by Watanabe Seisakusho in Kawasaki, with painting done by Sugimoto Bisou in Takaoka, Toyama, and the retaining screws made by Ichibishi Metal in Tsubame, Niigata. The screw stamping was done by Sasajima Seisakusho in Takaoka. The final assembly and greasing were performed at a repair workshop in Ginza.
The interchangeable retaining screws are stamped with "F" for FLASHBACK, and the overall design is kept simple. We are thrilled if this enhances the enjoyment of the Hektor 50mm lens!
Though tested and designed with numerous units, please note that this hood may not be suitable for Hektor lenses with stiff aperture controls or distorted nameplates. Please be aware of this.
