This unit is in beautiful original condition and would make a fine addition to any collection.
There are some light scratches and slight gloss near the rewind knob of the top cover due to use, and there is a very thin line scratch located just below the WETZLAR engraving. Additionally, there is a small scratch on the lower part of the back door. Other than that, there are hardly any signs of use, and overall, it is a very clean unit. The bottom cover is also in excellent condition.
The gutta-percha is completely original with no chips or wear. The texture is still prominent, providing a smooth and refreshing grip.
It has been fully serviced in September 2024. All parts operate smoothly, the viewfinder is clear and good, and there are no issues with the shutter.
It comes with a matching numbered tag, the original box, a case for the later model M3, and an English manual issued in December 1959. While there are some signs of use, the original box from this era has a truly stylish design.
This is a rare set that matches all the historical aspects!
