Nikkor-Q 135mm f3.5, later version with a black barrel. This is for the Contax rangefinder, not the Nikon S mount. The helicoid ring is engraved with C.
Released in 1950, the serial number is 274xxx. The distance scale is marked in feet, with a minimum focusing distance of 5 feet. It has a 3-group, 4-element optical design and includes a tripod mount. The filter thread is a 43mm screw-in type.
The exterior is in excellent condition, preserving the look and feel of a brand-new item from its era. The included hood and rear cap show some signs of use.
All parts function properly, and focus and operation have been checked. There are oil stains visible on the aperture blades (maintenance can be provided for an additional fee).
There is some slight haze and minor coating deterioration around the edges of the middle element, but overall, the glass is in very good condition.
The included viewfinder offers a crisp and clear view.
