※About rarity

This is an early version of the first-generation Summilux 50mm f1.4, featuring a beautiful chrome finish.
Manufactured in 1960, its Leitz product code is SOOME.
The early version of the Summilux, before the design was revised, is a highly sought-after model, admired for its soft rendering near wide-open apertures.
Stopping down by just one stop results in a sharper, more defined image with a sense of depth.
This lens offers a wide range of expressive possibilities, making it incredibly versatile.
Its elegant, timeless finish, referred to as the "Lady," blends seamlessly not only with cameras of the era, like the M3 and M2, but also with modern digital bodies, making it a classic design that transcends time.

There is minor wear on the front barrel from attaching and removing the hood, but the overall appearance is clean with no noticeable scratches.
It underwent a full overhaul in October 2024, including focus adjustment, and the operation feels extremely smooth. The rangefinder coupling is also aligned.
There is some patchy coating deterioration and cleaning marks behind the aperture on the inner element, but this will likely have little to no impact on image quality.
There are no noticeable cleaning marks on the front and rear elements, and the glass condition is reasonably good for a Summilux "Lady."
Included are the original E43 UVa filter, XOOIM hood, and a replica hood cap.
The test shots have turned out very well, and we encourage you to check out the sample gallery. All photos were taken wide open or at f2.
