Canon VI L model. Compatible with Leica screw mount.

The VI series is one of the most intricately constructed series among Canon's rangefinder cameras. Approximately 10,000 units were manufactured between 1958 and 1960.

It features a single-axis, non-rotating, evenly spaced shutter. The film counter is automatically reset.

The viewfinder has a variable magnification with three switching modes. For the standard 50mm (also used for 100mm), it is 1x magnification, for 35mm it is 0.65x, and in Mg mode (magnified rangefinder image) it switches to 1.55x magnification.

The bright frame for the 50mm/100mm lenses also automatically corrects for parallax. The standard lenses at the time of sale were 50mm f1.2 or f1.8. A small number of black paint models were also produced.

There are only slight scuffs on the bottom cover, showing very little signs of use, and it has a clean appearance. It is in quite good condition compared to other existing Canon VI L models.

This unit was actively used by one of our customers until recently, and all parts are functioning smoothly. There are slight wrinkles on the shutter curtain, but they do not affect practical use. The viewfinder is also clear and easy to see.

This is a clean and well-functioning camera that you can use with pleasure.
