A wide-angle lens made by Nippon Kogaku: the W-Nikkor·C 3.5cm f/3.5, introduced in 1948 for the Nikon S series.
This is the later version, featuring a black-painted aluminum barrel.
It uses a 3-group, 4-element Tessar-type optical design, with distance markings in feet.
Weighing just 100g (measured), it is remarkably lightweight. Filter thread size is 43mm.
The conical, recessed design eliminates the need for a lens hood—one of the distinctive advantages of wide-angle lenses for the Nikon RF system.
It also looks fantastic mounted on a camera, with a well-balanced, elegant design.
While not a particularly fast lens, its light weight and ease of handling make it an excellent choice for casual daytime shooting and street photography.
The lens is in excellent cosmetic condition with no visible signs of use.
The semi-gloss black paint retains a rich, like-new appearance.
All functions operate properly, with smooth movement of both the aperture and helicoid.
A few minor dust particles can be seen inside the lens, but they have virtually no effect on image quality.
There are no noticeable cleaning marks.
Comes with original front and rear caps.
