Ultron 50mm f/2 for the postwar Voigtländer Prominent—a flagship camera of its time—is often overshadowed by the more famous Nokton 50mm f/1.5, but the Ultron also delivers beautifully elegant rendering.
The Nokton was not only featured on the Prominent but also served as the signature lens of Voigtländer, appearing on premium models of the Vito and Vitomatic series. Like the Ultron, it was also available in Rectaflex mount.
While this lens is usable only with live view, it comes with an adapter for Leica M mount, allowing you to easily enjoy the Nokton’s signature rendering on modern systems.
The aperture operates smoothly, and the glass is in remarkably clean condition for an Ultron—no noticeable cleaning marks, haze, or balsam separation.
The soft blue coating typical of Voigtländer lenses from this era is still fully intact across the surface.
Included is a Leica L-mount adapter with built-in helicoid (not rangefinder-coupled), as well as a non-genuine Leica L to M adapter ring.
Ready to be enjoyed on a variety of mirrorless digital cameras.
