Leicaflex SL MOT Black Paint. Body serial number: 1.23 million range. Leica product code: 10013. With the second-generation Leicaflex, Leica adapted to the times by incorporating a TTL exposure meter while retaining a 1/2000s top shutter speed. The design remains boxy and rugged like its predecessor, yet the carefully arranged dials and levers reflect the exceptional craftsmanship of the era.
This model is motor-compatible, allowing the attachment of a motor winder designed for the SL. The "MOT" engraving on the pentaprism indicates its motor capability, and unlike the standard SL, the self-timer is omitted.
Only about 1,000 units of the SL MOT were produced across black paint, black chrome, and chrome finishes. The matte black paint gives it a thoroughly professional presence, making it an exhilarating camera to hold. And, of course, the original red plastic lock button, known for being fragile, adds a touch of nostalgic charm.

There are light scuffs across the body, and on the edges, the black paint has worn slightly, revealing a subtle brass patina underneath. Overall, it has a beautifully aged look with just the right amount of use.
