Leica Vario-Elmarit SL 24-90mm: Product code 11176. This is a current model, manufactured in Germany in 2014 with a serial number in the 4.5 million range.
This standard zoom lens is compatible with the Leica SL series from the original SL to the SL3. It features a 15-element, 18-group construction, including four aspherical lenses.
The lens covers a wide range of focal lengths, provides beautiful bokeh, and delivers high-resolution images with excellent color rendition. Its versatility makes it a superb all-around lens, capable of handling almost any shooting scenario. While there is a later f2.8 24-70mm model, the ability to reach up to 90mm is a clear advantage for product photography and portraiture.
Though it does not come with its original box, it has been carefully used and is in excellent condition, both in appearance and glass.
The lens shows almost no signs of use and retains the pristine appearance of a new item. There is a very small scratch about 3 cm to the right of the 90 mark on the 24-90 engraving near the lens base, but it is barely noticeable.
It has been tested with the Leica SL2, and the stepping motor operates very smoothly. The optical image stabilization is effective, providing excellent stabilization.
The lens comes with the original Leica 12301 lens hood, which includes its box. Additionally, it includes the original UVa II filter and both front and rear caps. This is a great deal for anyone considering purchasing the Vario-Elmarit SL 24-90mm.
