※About rarity

Serial number 102xxxx, a late-model Leica M3 from 1961 with a single-stroke advance and a self-timer. Leica's product code is IGEMO. The tripod socket is the smaller thread type (fine thread).

The Leica M3—widely regarded as the greatest rangefinder camera ever made. This model propelled Leica to the pinnacle of camera manufacturing in the post-war era and remains a landmark in photographic history.

If you primarily shoot with a 50mm lens, the M3 is still one of the best choices among Leicas. Beloved by photographers and journalists worldwide, it has documented countless significant moments in human history.

Recently given a meticulous overhaul and refresh, this M3 is ready to be used extensively once again.

There are visible signs of wear across the body, including noticeable marks on the top cover from a previously attached light meter. Additionally, there is a small dent next to the film counter on the top cover. The original vulcanite covering remains intact.

In February 2025, the camera underwent a full overhaul, including a shutter curtain replacement. All mechanisms operate smoothly, the viewfinder is clear and bright, and the rangefinder's contrast is sharp with no signs of separation.

A well-maintained late-model M3 in excellent working condition—perfect for worry-free, everyday use.
