This is a film winding mechanism compatible with Leica M2, M1, MD, and Leica MP. This particular unit is a rare original black paint version.

It is an early model with three-line engravings on the back. The sight of it mounted on a Leica M2 Black Paint or similar always captivates.

There is a very minor dent on one corner of the bottom, but otherwise, the paint is well-preserved, and this black-painted MP Bit is in excellent condition. The winding operation is smooth and comfortable to use.
