Summicron 35mm f2, 8-element Black Paint
Manufactured in 1965. Distance scale in red letters, commonly known as "Red Scale." Made in Germany. The minimum focusing distance is 0.7m. Leitz product code is SAWOM.
With Purple/Amber Coating. Mount is chrome-plated, and the infinity lock is brass with black paint. Weight 181g.
Moderately used but retains a sharp, appealing appearance. Perfect companion for Leica M3, M2, and M4 Black Paint models! A rare item.

Natural black paint wear is visible on the filter front, aperture ring, and helicoid operation knob where fingers touch, but overall, it is in good condition for an 8-element Black Paint version. No dings or dents.
Fully serviced in June 2024. Thanks to careful maintenance, the aperture ring and focusing ring operate smoothly. The infinity lock fits naturally and softly. Rangefinder coupling is perfect. Coating is fully intact. Test shooting results were excellent.
Comes with an aftermarket front cap and original rear cap.
