Serial number in the 2,490,000 range, made in 1971. This is the early version with a separate hood, manufactured in Germany.
Released in 1969 for the Leicaflex SL, the Summilux-R 50mm features a 7-element, 6-group modified Gauss design. The minimum focusing distance is 0.5 meters.
The dedicated hood is the 12508, and it is compatible with Series 7 filters. Additionally, E48 filters can also be used.
There is a slight loss of paint on the edge of the knurled area, but there are no noticeable scuffs or dents, and the exterior is in very beautiful condition.
Fully overhauled in 2024. Thanks to meticulous servicing, both the helicoid and aperture ring now offer a smooth and satisfying operation.
While there is minor wear on the coating, there are no cleaning marks or haze, and the glass is crystal clear. The results from our test shots were also excellent.
