Black/texture chrome. Zoom hood for 50/90/135mm lenses with A36 diameter. Leica's product code is FIKUS, later 12530.
The FIKUS hood, introduced in 1933 with black paint and nickel plating, was a long-standing product, manufactured until around 1965.
This particular hood is believed to have been made in the late 1950s or later. Despite nearly 70 years since its manufacture, it is an impressive piece in deadstock condition.
The hood shows no signs of use and is in pristine condition, literally like new. The original box has some minor wear.
This box design is seen on Leica products from the late 1950s onwards, and it represents one of the most stylish periods. You might find this box design on items like the Leica M3 with the early spring-wound single-stroke.
Both the box and the hood are outstanding examples from this era.
