※About rarity

The Plaubel Makina 67 is a lightweight, compact medium format camera that uses 120 film with 10 exposures. It features a Nikkor 80mm f/2.8 lens, which consists of 4 groups and 6 elements, known for its high-quality rendering.

Plaubel was originally a prestigious German brand, but it went dormant until it was acquired by Camera Do in 1979, which led to its revival. The camera design was done by Konica, while the lens was chosen based on the president's preference for Nikkor optics. With its sleek design, ease of use, and the superb image quality provided by the Nikkor lens, the Makina 67 has gained increasing popularity in recent years.

The exposure meter uses two LR44 batteries, and the filter thread is 58mm. Included accessories are a Kenko SL filter, the original hood, cap, and a grip. The fragile original cap is free from any cracks.

In 2018, the viewfinder block's prism was re-coated, and in 2022, the rangefinder, exposure meter were adjusted, and the light-shielding foam was replaced.

All functions are operating smoothly, and the exposure meter is working correctly. The viewfinder is free of haze and offers a clear, crisp image.

Cosmetically, there is some paint wear on the film advance lever, and signs of wear around the top and strap lugs, but there are no noticeable scratches or scuffs elsewhere, maintaining a relatively clean condition. There are no cracks typically found in the Makina 67 model.

The lens is free of cleaning marks and haze, offering bright, clear glass. Overall, this is a well-maintained and practical camera in great condition.

The included original hood has some paint loss at the tip and slight distortion, but it functions perfectly well. The camera also comes with a handy grip, making it ready to shoot right out of the box.
