The king of twin-lens reflex cameras, the Rolleiflex 2.8F. Serial number: 2,460,000 range. Manufactured between 1966 and 1968, this model features the renowned Planar 80mm lens with six elements and a built-in coupled exposure meter.
This particular unit is likely one of the last models produced before the transition to the White Face variant. It predates cost-cutting measures, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship and exceptional build quality.
It has undergone thorough servicing in the past, resulting in smooth and refined operation across all functions. With an exterior that is clean but not overly pristine, this 2.8F is perfect for those who want a reliable and robust camera to use extensively.
The body shows signs of normal use, including wear, small scratches, paint loss, and marks from removing filters and hoods, but there are no dents or large scratches.
In 2020, a careful overhaul was performed by a professional technician. Currently, all functions operate smoothly, and the exposure meter is working as expected. There are a few light cleaning marks on the front and middle lens elements, but they do not impact image quality. The front lens, which often shows signs of wear in Rolleiflex 6-element Planar lenses, is in very good condition without any noticeable deterioration.
The camera comes with two Rolleiflex genuine Skylight filters (R1.5) and the strap attachment hardware. With this hardware, you can attach your preferred strap. Additionally, the SL filter has a notch that should be placed on the viewfinder side, while the standard filter is attached to the shooting lens side.
This camera is ready for practical use!
