Self-timer for Barnack Leica. Product code is APDOO, with the later code being 14003. Available in black/chrome finish. Manufactured from 1938 to around 1965. This particular unit is a late post-war model with a chrome dial and black-painted markings.
To use, remove the shutter release button from the Leica, screw in the self-timer, and attach it. By turning the timer dial and pulling up the knob, the shutter will be released after approximately 10–15 seconds.
It comes with a dedicated leather case.
There are two small spots of paint loss next to the dial. Apart from that, there are light scratches from normal use, but overall, it has a quite clean appearance.
It was inspected by a specialist in November 2024.
The self-timer has been tested on a Leica DIII, and it works smoothly, making a pleasant zzzz sound as the shutter is released.
It is in practical condition, perfect for commemorative shots with a Barnack Leica (haha).
