Leitz FIKUS Zoom Hood for 35/50/90/135mm lenses. A36 slip-on (36mm). A rare nickel version.
This unit is engraved with markings for 13.5cm, 9cm, Elmar 5cm, and Hektor 5cm. The hood section features a silver inlay Ernst Leitz Wetzlar engraving.
An excellent accessory for those who use black-painted Barnack Leicas such as the DII or DIII, or nickel-finished lenses. A versatile hood that fits four different lenses in one unit.
The black-painted base of the hood is engraved with Germany in silver inlay, indicating that this was likely an export model of the FIKUS.
There are very minor scuffs around the outer edge, but overall, signs of use are minimal. For an early nickel FIKUS, this is a remarkably well-preserved example—great for collectors as well!
All mechanical functions are confirmed to be working, and it has been tested for fitting on A36 lenses.
Since this FIKUS was originally designed for the Hektor 50mm and early Elmar lenses, it may be a tight fit or difficult to mount on post-war Red Elmar lenses. Please keep this in mind.
