It was produced from 1965 to 1979, with some design changes during that time, making it one of the longest-produced lenses for the Leica R system.
With a minimum focusing distance of 0.3m, it is a versatile wide-angle lens capable of close focusing.
There are a few light scuffs on the hood and minor paint loss on the edge of the front barrel, but otherwise, there are no noticeable scratches or scuffs.
As Leica R lenses go, this one is in very clean condition.
The helicoid is smooth, and the aperture clicks are precise, providing a pleasant tactile feel when adjusting both.
Under strong LED light, you can spot a few tiny dust particles inside, but they are minimal and do not affect image quality.
Overall, the glass is in excellent condition.
Includes the hood and rear lens cap.
The original 12509 hood is also compatible with Series 7 filters.
