The lens allows for 1:2 magnification on its own, and with the dedicated 1:1 magnification adapter (14198), it can achieve true 1:1 macro shots. Its design eliminates the need for a hood due to the lens being recessed, making it a compact and user-friendly option. The lens shows only minor coating deterioration, visible only under strong LED light, with no noticeable scratches or haze. The glass is very clean.
