The Summilux-R 50mm was released in 1969 for the Leicaflex SL and features a modified Gauss-type optical design with 7 elements in 6 groups.
It weighs 409g (measured without accessories), and the minimum focusing distance is 0.5m.
There is minor paint loss on the knurled edge of the helicoid, and some light scuffing on the front barrel from attaching and detaching the hood, but otherwise, there are no noticeable scratches or dents, and the overall appearance is clean.
Fully serviced in October 2024, it has been carefully serviced to ensure smooth operation of both the helicoid and aperture ring, resulting in a very pleasant tactile feel.
When check under strong LED light, there are a few faint hairlines and slight coating degradation on the inner elements, but these have minimal impact on image quality. No significant cleaning marks or haze are present, and the glass remains clean overall.
Includes the dedicated 12508 hood, original hood cap, and rear cap.
The hood is compatible with Series 7 filters, and the lens can also accept E48 filters.
