Leitz original leather case from the era of the late Leica M3 and M2. The Leitz code name is IDCOO. The tripod screw is a fine thread. The "LEITZ WETZLAR GERMANY" stamp is in uppercase letters.
Made from high-quality leather, it still retains its original luster even after nearly 60 years since its manufacture. It's remarkable that it has remained in such condition!
While there are very minor wrinkles and abrasions, the case maintains a beautiful appearance that still captures the atmosphere of its original condition. The blue-gray lining has some discoloration, turning brown.
Given that leather cases are more prone to deterioration compared to camera bodies, finding one in such good condition is quite rare. With regular maintenance using high-quality cream, this case is designed to be used for a long time.
