※About rarity

Summilux 50mm f1.4. Second generation with black chrome finish. Manufactured in 1970 with serial number 2,410,000. Leica's product code is 11114. Compatible filter size is E43.
It has a 5-group, 7-element construction. The newly designed second-generation Summilux is sharper at wide apertures. Additionally, this second-generation black lens barrel is slightly lighter compared to the 1st generation. This lens weighs 289 grams.
While retaining the unique character of the original Summilux, it offers more stable performance, making it versatile for various scenes.
It's perfect for shooting with M-series Leicas, and with digital mirrorless cameras, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery through the viewfinder. The results from test shots always raise the excitement, making this Leica's standard lens.

The exterior shows some signs of use on the edge of the filter rim and the aperture ring, and there is a tiny dent on the edge of the aperture ring. However, it is quite clean for a lens that has been in use for over 50 years.
The operation of the aperture and helicoid is smooth. The rangefinder coupling is perfect, and the focus is accurate.
Although there are tiny dust particles inside the lens, they have no impact on actual shooting. Additionally, there is no haze or cleaning marks, and the glass is clear. The results of the test shots were also satisfactory.
The included 12586 hood is in good condition. The hood cap is a replica.
This clean second-generation Summilux is in its prime for use with excellent image quality. Sample images have been uploaded to the gallery. We hope you will take a look.
