Current model: Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH. Product code 11673. Leica M-mount. Coupled rangefinder. Black chrome finish.
Since its debut in 1958 as the first Summicron 35mm lens, known as the 8-element, it has continued to represent Leica's iconic wide-angle lens lineage. It matches perfectly with the slim body of M-series Leica cameras, offering a compact size and excellent usability when using the rangefinder to focus on subjects.
Included are the hood, front and rear caps, front ring, instruction manual, inspection certificate, soft case, original box, and other accessories.
There is very slight paint loss on the edges of the aperture ring, visible only under a loupe, but at first glance, it exudes a dignified appearance akin to new or excellent condition, complementing Leica bodies in new or pristine condition.
All functions operate properly. The rangefinder coupling is solid.
The glass is free from scratches or haze, delivering clear and sharp images.
For those considering the current Summicron models, this would be a reasonable and excellent choice at a reasonable price point.
