※About rarity
The pinnacle of rangefinder cameras, the Leica M3. The Leitz product code is IGEMO. This particular piece is from the early production of the Leica M3. Produced in 1956. Featuring the coveted double-stroke advance lever, it embodies the charm of days gone by. Whether capturing images or simply admiring its craftsmanship, this M3 excels. With meticulous construction and the lavish attention to detail typical of its era, this M3 stands as a testament to perfection. Following a thorough overhaul, even after 68 years since its production, this camera remains in pristine condition. While there are some dents on the top cover, it is still offered at a reasonable price. Near the film rewind knob, there is a significant dent, and a minor dent can be observed just above the strap lug. On the top cover, to the right of the "GERMANY" engraving, there is a barely noticeable indentation, depending on the angle of light. Additionally, there is some chrome loss and verdigris on a section of the bottom plate. Furthermore, minor scratches from use are visible on various parts. All parts and the vulcanite covering are original, providing a comfortable grip. Serviced in March 2024, the operational feel of each component is exceptionally smooth. The winding action, with its satisfying double-stroke motion, adds to the enjoyment of shooting. This camera is in excellent practical condition, perfect for regular use!
