Leather Set Case for Leica Model A.
Designed to hold a Leica Model A body, FODIS rangefinder, and two film magazines.
Leitz product code: ETRIN. Likely manufactured in the late 1920s to early 1930s. Overall, it is in remarkably clean condition.
The ETRIN case has been available since the early days of the Leica A-type, which was released in 1925, and in the early Anastigmat and Elmax models, there were also types with horizontal embossing.
While standard ETRIN cases typically have straps sewn directly onto the case, this example is a rare variation with movable metal fittings. This design greatly enhances usability and convenience.
The front of the case has an embossed "T.T.", which may be the initials of the original owner.
Rare item.
Crafted from high-quality leather, the material remains surprisingly supple for an item nearly a century old. Despite slight signs of use, there is no significant damage, and the original stitching is fully intact. Considering its age, this case is in exceptional condition, deserving to be called a masterpiece.
Comes with 2 magazines and an aluminum case for the magazines.
Highly recommended for those who own a well-preserved Leica Model A.
