※About rarity

Leica M3 early model with 'Fukumimi' double stroke. The Leitz product code is IGEMO. This camera, serial number in the 800,000 range, was manufactured in 1955. It is an example from the early period shortly after the introduction of the frame selector lever, still rich with the ambiance of the initial M3 models.
The M3 double stroke provides rhythmic sound as you wind the film, and even just firing the shutter without film can be uplifting. If you primarily use a 50mm lens, the M3 remains one of the best choices among Leica cameras even today.
Nearly 70 years after its manufacture, this camera is still in excellent working condition, and its allure only increases with time.

There are light scuffs around the rewind knob on the top cover, near the serial number, and to the right of the sync contacts. The bottom cover has some minor scratches and wear, and there are small marks on the corners near the opening latch, but there are no noticeable scratches at a glance.
As of April 2024, the camera has been serviced, including a complete disassembly and adjustment of all parts, and cleaning of the finder. All functions operate smoothly, the winding mechanism feels smooth, and the finder is crystal clear with strong contrast in the rangefinder.
This is a clean and highly functional early model M3, ideal for practical use.
It comes with an original body cap.
