Slip-on lens hood for the Summicron 50mm f2, manufactured by the Japanese photo accessory company, Waltz. It shares a very similar design to the hood for the Summarit 50mm f1.5, model XOONS. With a 42mm slip-on fit, it is compatible with all E39-sized 50mm lenses.

Although its appearance resembles the XOONS, it is designed to fit the Summicron and Summitar, which may be a little confusing, but it complements both lenses very well. Naturally, it does not fit the Summarit (laughs).

Even when placed alongside the original Leitz XOONS hood, its high build quality, including the textured finish, doesn't fall short. While the XOONS is made of brass, this one is lightweight aluminum. The actual weight is 36g, about half that of the XOONS.

This is an unused dead stock item in brand-new condition.
It comes with the original box labeled for the Summicron.
