FIGRO, later designated 13005. A slip-on yellow filter, compatible with the Elmar 5cm, Hektor 5cm, and Elmar 135mm, among others. No. 1 filter, with an A36 diameter. The frame is finished in black paint, and this particular piece has a somewhat rare nickel-plated locking screw. It is said to have been introduced in 1931.
Since it’s a slip-on type, you need to remove the filter each time you adjust the aperture. While it's not the most convenient, its classical style and the craftsmanship, worthy of being called an art piece, make it appealing.
The filter frame shows paint wear from use, giving it a well-aged, appealing look. It pairs perfectly with a nicely used black & nickel Barnack, and would also suit a black paint Leica M3 or M2. The glass has fine cleaning marks, but they are unlikely to affect image quality. Ideal for practical use as well. Comes with the original box, which has an aged look fitting for its era.
