Nikkor-P 105mm f2.5 This lens features the C mark engraved on the barrel, designed for the Contax rangefinder. Released in 1954, it has a 3-group, 5-element Sonnar design. The helicoid distance markings are in feet.
Approximately 22,000 units of the Nikkor 105mm f2.5 were produced across various mounts, including Leica L and Nikon S mounts. This particular example is a later version without the hood attachment horns.
While affordably priced, this lens offers excellent image quality. By using an adapter such as the Lakewall-made SC-LM adapter (Contax RF mount, external claw type), you can enjoy using it with digital Leica M bodies via live view.
While many 105mm lenses have been heavily used, this particular one shows almost no signs of wear and has a clean appearance.
The operation is smooth. Under strong LED light, very faint cleaning marks are visible on the lens elements, mainly on the coating surface, but these are unlikely to affect actual image quality. There is no visible mold or noticeable scratches. The rangefinder coupling and other functions have been confirmed with a Contax IIa body and focusing screen.
Comes with the front cap.
