Leica M2 early model, popular with the button rewind. No self-timer. The serial number is in the 940,000 range, manufactured in 1958. The Leitz product code is KOOHE.

The viewfinder windows are finely detailed, and the rewind push button locks when pressed. This model falls into the later period of the button rewind M2s. It features a large thread for the tripod screw.

This is a camera that makes you want to pair your favorite 35 / 50mm lenses or a Leicavit MP, creating a perfect set.

There are some light scratches, particularly near the Leica logo on the top cover and on the bottom plate, but there are no noticeable dents or dings. It has been carefully used and maintained.

All parts are original from 1958.

In 2024, the camera underwent adjustments and inspections. The operation is smooth and the camera functions well. It’s a pleasure to use this M2.
