Genuine UV filter for Hektor 73mm f1.9, 39mm screw-in type. The Leitz product code is FIWET.
This UV filter, from the era of black-and-white photography, has a strong yellow tint and is not suitable for color photography. For color, please use the later UVa filters.
Additionally, there is also a slip-on type UV filter for the Hektor 73mm, coded FIOSI, both of which are quite rare.
Since it has an E39 diameter, it can be used with other lenses like the later Summicron, but it is a black-rimmed filter that you will want to pair with the Hektor. It can, of course, be mounted together with the dedicated Hektor 73mm hood.
The black-painted filter frame shows signs of use consistent with its age. There is a single hairline scratch in the center of the glass and very faint clouding from aging, but these should not affect image quality. Attachment to the Hektor has been confirmed.
