※About rarity

Summicron-R 90mm f/2 — Leica R mount, 3-cam version. Serial number in the 2.71 million range, manufactured in 1974 by Leitz Canada. This medium telephoto lens was introduced in 1970 and remained in production until 1999, making it a long-selling classic. Leitz product code: 11219.

It features a 5-element, 4-group optical design, which differs from the Summicron 90mm for Leica M mount. The minimum focusing distance is 70cm, and it accepts E55 filters. As a fast f/2 telephoto lens, it offers a shallow depth of field and rich, creamy bokeh characteristic of this class.

The lens is in beautiful condition with hardly any signs of use. It pairs wonderfully with modern digital mirrorless cameras as well.

All functions operate properly, with the aperture and focusing ring offering a very smooth handling feel.
The glass is clean and clear, free from noticeable cleaning marks or haze, providing excellent transparency.
This lens was recently enjoyed by one of our customers, and it still delivers great image quality.
