Hasselblad SWC. Following the SWA and SW models, it was introduced in 1959. The lens barrel is in white chrome, and the distance scale is in feet. The body was manufactured in 1959, while the magazine is from 1970.
The Biogon 38mm lens shares the same design as the C lenses for the 500 series, resolving the lens barrel wobble issues that were a weak point in the previous SWA and SW models. Additionally, the film advance has been upgraded to a crank mechanism, improving usability. Focusing is done by estimating the distance in feet, but with the extremely deep depth of field, it should not cause any difficulties. However, be mindful of keeping the camera level when taking horizontal shots.
This particular unit has been thoroughly serviced and is in great condition for practical use.
There are noticeable scratches around the viewfinder, lens barrel, and tripod socket due to use. However, there are no significant dents or dings.
In December 2024, the body, lens, magazine, and viewfinder were fully serviced. The shutter, aperture, helicoid, and magazine all function smoothly.
The rear element of the lens shows slight coating damage, but it should have no noticeable impact on actual shooting. Additionally, there is a small amount of fogging in the viewfinder that could not be completely removed during cleaning, but it does not affect visibility.
Included are the A12 magazine, viewfinder, SL filter, and strap. The numbers on the magazine body and its contents match.
This SWC is in a condition that’s not too pristine but just right for use—perfect for taking out and using without hesitation!
