Nikkor-P 105mm f2.5. A rangefinder lens for Nikon, released in 1954. It has a Sonnar-type optical design with 5 elements in 3 groups. The helicoid distance scale is marked in feet. This is a standard telephoto lens for the Nikon S series.
Including other mounts (Leica, Contax), about 22,000 units were produced. This particular unit is a later model without the horns for attaching the hood.
Despite its affordable price, it delivers outstanding image quality. By using adapters such as the Rayqual SC - LM adapter (an external bayonet adapter for Nikon S), also available at our store, you can enjoy it with live view on digital Leica M bodies.

There are minor scuffs on the plating at the tip and some wear marks near the mount lock button at the base, where the underlying metal is slightly visible, but overall, it has a clean appearance. The black paint is also well preserved.
The previous owner had it fully serviced by Kiitos. The aperture and helicoid operate smoothly, and rangefinder coupling is functioning correctly. The aperture blades are also in good condition.
The lens shows slight cleaning marks on the inner element, but these should not affect shooting performance. The glass is clear and free from haze. The original coatings remain on all surfaces.
It comes with the original front and rear caps. The rear cap has one missing tab.
