Summilux-M 35mm f1.4 ASPH. Model Number: 11874. Introduced in 1994, this is the successor to the original ASPHERICAL (commonly known as AA) featuring two aspherical lens elements. The production ran until 2009, with approximately 21,000 units made. This lens includes a 6-bit code and has a filter diameter of E46. It is compatible with the dedicated 12589 hood.
Known for its delicate and beautiful bokeh, the lens provides outstanding optical performance. However, many models have been reported with unstable rangefinder coupling. This particular lens has been serviced by Leica Japan in June 2023 (certificate included). We have conducted real-world tests using our demo unit, the Leica M10-P, and confirmed that the rangefinder coupling operates reliably from the shortest distance to infinity at wide open aperture.
This lens shows no signs of use and is in literally like-new condition. It would pair beautifully with any new Leica. Its somewhat classic appearance adds to its charm.
All functions are operating normally. As mentioned, it was serviced and inspected by Leica Japan in June 2023, ensuring excellent rangefinder coupling.
The glass is free from fogging or cleaning marks, exhibiting remarkable clarity. This lens allows you to fully enjoy its original optical performance.
