An ACTINA lens hood made for the Summarit 50mm, produced by Schmidt & Co., the Leica import agency. While not a genuine Leitz product, it is well-made and has a quality that feels comparable to original parts. The hood attaches to the lens with a screw mechanism and allows for the attachment of an E41 filter while in place. It weighs approximately 31g.

For those who find the weight or presence of the genuine XOONS hood a concern, this alternative is also recommended. It fits seamlessly with the chrome-barreled Summarit.
