HFOOK. Rangefinder with shoe attachment. This model is a standalone rangefinder FOKOS by Leitz with an added movable shoe FOKAB. Black/nickel finish. The distance dial is in meters. The baseline length is 75mm. The minimum focusing distance is 0.75 meters. It is used by attaching it to the accessory shoe.
The distance markings are finely graduated. When operating the shutter dial, the rangefinder body can be rotated to bypass it, showcasing a practical and gimmick-filled design typical of Leitz. By removing the shoe part, it can also be mounted vertically.
It is an item that you definitely want to attach to your Leica Model A or Standard!
There is some loss of black paint on the edges, and minor scuffs on the nickel-plated dial and shoe, but overall, the paint gloss is well-preserved, and considering its age, it has a very good appearance.
It was serviced in June 2024. There is slight dirt on the prism, but the glass is clear with no cloudiness, providing a clear view. The contrast of the double image is also solid.
For early Leica accessory shoes, the gap may be too wide or too narrow, but if it is too wide, it is recommended to fold a small piece of paper and insert it.
