※About rarity

Swiss-made Alpa 6c Black Paint by Pignon, manufactured between 1960 and 1967. While 3,605 silver-painted models were made, only 418 black-painted versions were produced. This is a pentaprism reflex camera.

The Alpa 6c inherited features such as the split-image viewfinder, self-timer, and rotating irregular interval shutter from its predecessor, the 6b. It also includes a non-coupled selenium meter, a horizontal eye-level viewfinder, and a distinctive pantograph-style rewind crank.

This Alpa 6c shows signs of use, making it a practical choice. The worn black paint adds a charming character to this well-used camera.

The camera exhibits black paint wear on the winding lever, accessory shoe, bottom cover hinge, top cover, and corners of the bottom plate. There is also a deep scratch on the lower part of the eyepiece. Additionally, red paint has been applied around the shutter speed marking on the shutter dial, likely to aid in quickly identifying the settings, as Alpa shutter speeds can be difficult to read.

The shutter and other functions are operating normally. The exposure meter generally provides accurate readings in low-light indoor conditions, but tends to overexpose by about four stops in bright outdoor settings.

The included original case has a torn seam at the bottom and will need to be repaired for practical use. Please consider the case as a bonus.
