Alefar 180mm f4.5 A telephoto lens for Alpa. It has a 3-group, 4-element design. The helicoid uses EXTENSAN. This is the later model with a preset aperture. It is supplied by Spectros and marked with SYSTEM OLD DELFT. Made in Switzerland. The early Alefar 180mm was manufactured with a normal aperture, produced by Old Delft in the Netherlands.
It is said that between 1951 and 1959, a total of 960 units were produced, with 462 units of the early model with a normal aperture and 498 units of the later preset model. The minimum aperture is F32. The filter size is B. The minimum focusing distance is 205 cm. The barrel is made mostly of aluminum, making it compact and lightweight for a 180mm lens, weighing 304g as measured.
The lens shows minimal signs of use and has a very clean exterior. The black paint, which often tends to wear thin, is still well-preserved. There is almost no corrosion on the aluminum parts.
All parts are functioning smoothly. Focusing has been confirmed on an Alpa body. While there are a few fine dust particles in the glass, there are no fogging or cleaning marks, allowing you to enjoy the lens's original performance.
It comes with a beautiful original hood, original front cap, and rear cap.
