A comprehensive volume on Italian-made cameras by renowned collectors Marco Antonetto and Mario Malavolti. Published by FOTO CAMERA in Milan in 1983. Bilingual text in Italian and English. 192 pages.
The book covers a total of 387 cameras from 61 Italian camera manufacturers, spanning the period from the daguerreotype era through the 1950s.
Alongside familiar names such as Rectaflex, Ducati, and Gamma, well known to vintage camera enthusiasts, the book also features cameras from small, obscure manufacturers whose products are rarely seen elsewhere.
Dead stock.
While the descriptions of individual cameras are relatively brief, the book opens with an overview of each manufacturer's history, which is a welcome feature. The striking, vivid red cover, so characteristic of Italy, would also make a lovely accent on any bookshelf!
It would also be interesting to enjoy this book alongside 35mm Old Lenses of the Highest Class Vol. 6: Lenses from Italy and Other European Countries, currently available in our shop.
