The dedicated OLLUX lens hood for the first-generation Summilux 35mm f/1.4, commonly known as the Steel Rim. Its later product code was 12522H. This hood is widely known among Leica enthusiasts as the OLLUX.

This example is the early type engraved OLLUX, before the designation was changed to 12522. More specifically, it is Version 2, the later variation of the OLLUX-engraved hood, featuring arrow markings on both sides.

With its stylish design and precision craftsmanship, this hood perfectly complements the early Summilux 35mm f/1.4, enhancing both its optical performance and classic appearance.

Originally sold by our shop, this hood was carefully used and cherished by its previous owner, and has now found its way back to us.

There are some minor scratches, scuffs, and areas of paint loss, but it remains in a very appealing, user-friendly condition. Not overly pristine, but just right for regular use. We have reconfirmed that it fits the Steel Rim Summilux securely, with no looseness or play.

Mounted on a well-used Leica body with a silver Summilux 35mm f1.4 Steel Rim, or the rare black version, this hood would make for a wonderfully atmospheric combination.
