Summilux-R 50mm f1.4, 3-cam version. Leitz product code 11875. An early version made in Germany in 1971, with a serial number in the 2,490,000 range.
Introduced in 1969 for the Leicaflex SL, this lens features a modified Gauss design with 7 elements in 6 groups. The minimum focusing distance is 0.5m.
Series 7 filters can be used with the 12508 hood, while E48 screw-in filters can also be attached directly.
A classic Leitz lens that remains highly desirable in the digital mirrorless era. Its rich bokeh and beautifully soft rendering produce images with a distinctive, evocative character.
This lens was previously sold by our shop and has now returned to us after being carefully used by its owner. This will be our third time offering it for sale.
The condition remains unchanged since our last sale. The barrel shows only minimal signs of use and is in very clean overall condition.
Overhauled in 2024. Thanks to the thorough servicing, the helicoid still operates smoothly, and the aperture ring has none of the play often found in Leica R lenses. A pleasure to use!
The glass shows only very minor coating deterioration, barely visible even under strong light. It should have virtually no effect on actual images. The glass remains clear and clean.
An excellent choice for anyone looking for a well-maintained, ready-to-use Summilux-R with smooth operation.
Comes with the dedicated 12508 hood, Series 7 filter, and original front and rear caps.
