A highly regarded lens, celebrated for its beautiful rendering at full aperture. It performs wonderfully at both close and long distances, and delivers excellent results whether shooting with the light or against it. Every time we test this lens, we are amazed all over again by its superb optical performance.
Literally in like-new condition, with no signs of use whatsoever. Even the slightest handling marks are absent. It would also make a perfect match for a brand-new Leica SL series camera.
A full overhaul was completed in October 2026. As one would expect, both the aperture mechanism and helicoid now operate with an exceptionally smooth and refined feel.
There is extremely slight coating deterioration on the lens elements, barely visible even under strong LED light, but this is highly unlikely to have any effect on actual photographs. Actual shooting tests also produced excellent results. We hope you will enjoy the distinctive rendering of this other Summilux 35mm, quite different from its Leica M counterpart.
Comes with a 13386 UVa filter and the original front and rear caps.
