※About rarity

Alfinon 50mm f2.8, made by Old Delft in the Netherlands. Alpa mount. A total of 1,410 examples were produced between 1951 and 1958, a production figure close to the 1,530 examples of the Aarau Switar 50mm f1.8.
Features a fixed aluminum barrel and a Tessar-type optical design with 4 elements in 3 groups. Uncoated, with a preset aperture mechanism.
This charming lens produces delicate, soft rendering with a gentle, rich tonal quality. Another appealing feature is its remarkably light weight of just 106g, thanks to the aluminum barrel.
A relatively rare lens.

overall appearance is quite clean.
All moving parts, including the aperture ring and helicoid, operate smoothly. The glass has a fair number of light cleaning marks on the front and middle elements, along with a very slight balsam separation around the edge of the rear element. However, these should have almost no effect on actual photography.
We tested the lens on our Leica M11 using the rangefinder, with an adapter made by Retina House. The results were excellent, with no noticeable uneven sharpness or other issues. Please take a look at the sample images in our Test Shoot Gallery. All were taken wide open.
By extending the helicoid, you can focus as close as approximately 45cm from the front of the lens, making this a surprisingly versatile lens.
Comes with an original Alpa Type A lens hood, a protective filter with replaced glass, and front and rear caps. Ready to take out and enjoy shooting right away!
