This is the model immediately preceding the ASPH. version. Approximately 10,000 examples were produced between 1992 and 2005.

The optical design consists of 8 elements in 7 groups. Compact and lightweight, it is a very practical lens for everyday use. It delivers high resolution with a crisp, well-defined rendering.

The exterior is exceptionally clean, with virtually no signs of use. There are no mounting marks on the bayonet, and it could easily pass for a new lens.

Both the aperture ring and helicoid operate smoothly, giving the lens a very pleasant feel in use. Rangefinder coupling is spot on.

Matching the beautiful exterior, the glass is also extremely clean, with no cleaning marks or haze. The results of our test shooting were excellent.

Included are the original E46 UVa filter, 12547 lens hood, hood cap, warranty card, certificate, case, and original box. An outstanding example in superb condition.
