The Nikon S3 Limited Edition, a special reproduction model released in 2000. Originally introduced in 1958, the Nikon S3 was brought back to life through Nikon's technical expertise and craftsmanship. Produced to order for a limited period, approximately 8,000 units are said to have been manufactured.

The accompanying lens is a reproduction of the Nikkor-S 50mm f1.4, commonly known as the Olympic Nikkor. It retains the original optical design while incorporating modern multi-coating.

With its viewfinder featuring bright frames for 35mm, 50mm, and 105mm lenses, beautiful chrome finish, and precisely engineered mechanical shutter, this camera embodies the charm of the classic Nikon S series.

Now, a quarter of a century after its release, it is a camera to be enjoyed as a neo-vintage classic.

This example is literally in like-new condition. There are no signs that film has ever been loaded, nor any marks indicating that the strap lugs have been used.

Both the camera body and lens were serviced in October 2026. All mechanisms now operate very smoothly. The viewfinder offers good view clarity, and the rangefinder double image has good contrast. There is some of the prism deterioration commonly found in these rangefinders, but thanks to the recent viewfinder cleaning, both clarity and contrast are now very good.

The included reproduction Olympic Nikkor shows no noticeable cleaning marks, and the glass is clear and free from haze.
