Leitz original leather hand strap, TROOV. Introduced in 1938, during the Leica IIIa era. It features a large tripod screw.

There is no Leitz logo anywhere on the strap. Perhaps because most examples have been lost over the years, the TROOV has become quite a rare accessory today.

As you would expect from a genuine Leitz accessory, the quality of the tripod screw, snap fittings, and leather is excellent.
The leather shows age-appropriate wear, but it remains firm and is still perfectly usable.
A rare find.
