※About rarity

The Leica R6.2 is a truly Leica-like mechanical SLR camera. Chrome finish. This example has a serial number in the 1.92 million range and was manufactured in 1992, the first year of production. Made in Germany. Leica product code: 10073.

Introduced at the height of the AE and AF era, the R6.2 is an improved version of the mechanically controlled, manual-focus R6. Its top shutter speed was upgraded to 1/2000 sec. The mechanism is also well proven for its stability and reliability. Even if the batteries run out, only the exposure meter stops working, while the shutter remains fully operational. A true survival camera that can keep shooting in almost any environment.

This example was officially imported into Japan by Nippon SiberHegner, and the importer's sticker remains inside the film chamber.

Its rugged yet compact body is another part of its appeal. This is a particularly clean example.

Shows virtually no signs of use and is in beautiful condition. It has a wonderfully fresh, almost new feel.

All functions are working properly, including the light meter. The viewfinder is also crisp and clear.

Comes with the cap, strap, warranty card, instruction manual, rubber eyecup, display case, original box with a mismatched number for the 10074 black chrome body, Motor Winder R, and R7 Handgrip.

The Motor Winder R and Handgrip have also been tested and are working properly.
